I am a
student of class tenth. Yesterday I had my English model examination. The
passage which was given in the reading section touched my heart. It was about
‘Character’. It says that the well spring of character is self worth. If you
value the person that you are, you will take care of yourself. As a rule,
impurity ruins worth. The most exquisitely, flavored and enchantingly fragrant
cup of tea loses its worth the movement a fly falls in to it. What it losses is
not taste, aroma or colour but its purity. “The real ornament of a man is his
character, his purity”.
Purity expresses itself as positively to what
is good worthwhile. Impurity breeds a contrary disposition. It makes a person
turn against himself, against his own best interests. Purity-rooted positively
is a student’s great asset. Positively enables her to enter into the full scope
of every educational facility and opportunity. Purity sustains concentration
and fortifies patience. The impurity is restless. Academic or intellectual
impurity implies a state of being pulled in opposite directions. Patience is
the power to stay focused overtime.
Discipline, hard
work, austerity and struggle are four essential qualities for building a good
character. The shallow, on the other hand, resent and rebel against all of
these.
I will be
soon back with another incident and thought.
